Swamp Soccer started in the UK in 2006. There have been annual tournaments held in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. The first two events were held in Dunoon (Scotland). The next three were held in Strachur (Scotland) and the event in 2011 moved temporarily to Edinburgh.

Swamp Soccer UK Ltd owns, manages and organises the Swamp Soccer World Cup.

The words “Swamp Soccer” and the Swamp Soccer logo are protected trade marks in the UK, the European Union, and in many other parts of the world.
