Congratulations to AK Team Buddy Mollox (mens) and also Yipee Ki-Yah (mixed). You are now the 2010 FRijj Swamp Soccer World Champions! I’d also like to thank all the other teams that took part. The jovial spirit amongst all the football teams this year was fantastic. Thank you for all your kind phone calls and emails too. I’ve taken the liberty of mentioning a few “Testimonials” below.

I’d also like to thank our title sponsor Frijj – the prizes and free samples they gave out at the tournament were awesome.

Our official photographer took thousands of photographs at the tournament. We have created the 2010 Swampie Gallery with the 40 best ones.

We’re going to continue our work on the 2011 tournament in Edinburgh, and we will provide an update on the website in late September, when we will also open registration. Previous participants will receive an e-newsletter in due course, with updated information. The dates for 2011 will be Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July.

Everyone from Hockering FC who was there all agree it has been the best weekend ever – making lots of new friends from all over, playing the funniest football ever, in an amazing setting. We will definitely be entering a team into next year’s event – Tora Churchill, Hockering FC

Just want to thank you for a fantastic weekend. We are now safely back in Suffolk and still laughing.
