Brief Summary

Mr Jaden Pan of North Sports Ltd in Beijing contacted Swamp Soccer in 2010, to enquire about having the rights to Swamp Soccer China. In August 2011 Swamp Soccer China was launched in Beijing, next to the Birds Nest Olympic Stadium. Over 30 teams played in this inaugural event, attracting 20,000 visitors over the duration of the tournament.

• Swamp Soccer UK Ltd drafted an email with a detailed proposal, outlining the key requirements and likely overview of the event
• North Sports responded with details of the organisations credentials and own creative input
• an audit was undertaken, using a partner based in Beijing to gather important information on Mr Jaden Pan and North Sports Ltd
• Stewart Miller of Swamp Soccer UK Ltd visited Beijing, to have meetings with Mr Jaden Pan, and also with various Chinese supporting partners – including Asia’s largest sports television network, China’s biggest internet company, and one of China’s leading public relations organisations
• Swamp Soccer UK Ltd drafted an agreement to allow North Sports Ltd to launch Swamp Soccer China in Beijing. This Agreement has now been extended to cover all of Mainland China
• The Scottish Government supported this co-operation, with letters of support and two trade missions to China, one lead by the Right Honourable Alex Salmond, First Minister of Scotland
• Swamp Soccer UK Ltd, with assistance from Scottish Development International, continued to provide advice and support to North Sports during the crucial planning phase and up to the launch event in Beijing
• Swamp Soccer UK Ltd still co-operates with North Sports Ltd, to develop Swamp Soccer in China
