Strachur can be reached by car on two different roads. The organisers recommend this route: from Glasgow Airport travel west on the M8 to Greenock and then continue to you reach Gourock. Drive through Gourock until you see the road sign for the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry. Alternatively, depart Glasgow Airport by car and take the A898 road to Erskine Bridge, then follow the A82 to Loch Lomond, then the A83 towards Lochgilphead, and take the A815 signposted to Dunoon until you reach Strachur. From Prestwick Airport take the A79 to Irvine, then the A78 to Greenock. Travel for circa 39 miles then turn left on the A770 to Gourock. The ferry terminal will be on the left hand side before you reach Gourock town centre. The ferry only takes 20 minutes.

A train can be taken from Glasgow Central station to Gourock, and this journey will take about 1 hour. (The train stops at Paisley Gilmour Street, which is the nearest train station to Glasgow Airport, and this journey will cost about £5 in a taxi). The train terminates at Gourock, next to the Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry Terminal.

Once you reach Dunoon by ferry, turn right and travel to Strachur, which is a 20 minute drive by car, along the A815.
